Read my story, "Vera, Vera," in The Oddville Press. Free download of entire beautifully organized issues. The stories are touching, disturbing, and always revealing of human nature.

Read my story, "Going Postal," in DIGGING THROUGH THE FAT | ripping out the heart.

I also have a creative writing prompt book, READY, SET, GO WRITE! 1st edition at iBookstore and 2nd edition at Amazon.

Mary Gaitskill, "The Other Place"

"The Other Place" is told in 1st person point-of-view. The story is about the potential for evil in people. The narrator / father recalls his experiences as a young man when he had very dark thoughts; he wanted to hurt women. The story moves back and forth in time in many space separated scenes.

The story was first published in The New Yorker and subsequently selected for inclusion in The Best American Short Stories, 2012.
