Samuel Beckett, "Waiting for Godot"

On this blog I list the short stories I've read and a few of my thoughts. Today, however, I'm noting that I just read Waiting for Godot. I'm happy that I finally read it. At times, it felt like an existential, political, historical or social exploration. I think it's one of those works in which as much of the reader is a part of the story (play) as much as the words in the work itself. Never to be totally consumed which is what I use as a measure for a great work of literature, art, film.

I'm also looking forward to a lecture next week about Beckett.
